Je suis tout fait en accord avec les coachs qui parlent de leur discipline comme ne pouvant être pratiquée que “sur-mesure“.
D’accord avec ceux qui soutiennent qu’il n’y a ni recette infaillible, ni technique universelle pour accompagner en coaching.
Alors certes, les clients peuvent avoir des problématiques qui semblent parentes, des ambitions qui sont identiques, et il est également possible qu’ils aient des tempéraments très similaires.
Mais, pour autant, leur manière de faire face à tout cela, de le vivre, de s’organiser, et mobiliser leurs propres ressources pour tenter de parvenir à satisfaire leurs ambitions sera forcement personnelle.
C’est bien autour du caractère propre à chacun(e), de l’organisation de ses propres solutions, que le coaching prend tout son sens.
J’en veux pour preuve que même ce qui est vrai, valable pour moi aujourd’hui, ici, dans certaines conditions peut ne plus l’être demain, là-bas, dans d’autres conditions. D’un jour à l’autre, je peux réagir de manière complètement différente au même stimulus, à la même question.
Si cela est déjà vrai pour moi, d’un moment à un autre, ça l’est, au moins tout autant, d’un individu à un autre.
Difficile alors, si on admet ce postulat comme je le fais, d’entendre les offres très “marketées“ d’une méthode “taille unique“, qui fonctionnerait pour tout le monde, et à tous les coups.
Ou de croire en une I.A. capable d’accompagner des clients sur les bases d’une compréhension littérale de leurs mots (ou maux).
De son côté, le coach cherchera d’abord à approfondir, à explorer le sens très personnel des paroles des clients, leur permettant ainsi une meilleure compréhension de leur environnement, de leurs ressources, et de leurs buts.
Ensuite tout l’accompagnement doit les amener à acquérir une autonomie plus importante face à leurs questionnements, et augmenter ainsi considérablement leurs chances de satisfaire leurs ambitions par eux-même.
En conclusion, le coaching n’est certes pas la seule discipline à faire du sur-mesure. Et cela ne suffit bien sûr pas à la définir. Mais je crois pour autant, moi aussi, en un coaching qui ne peut être que sur-mesure.
