J’ai longtemps été en résistance contre l’emploi du terme problématique quand il s’agissait de coaching.
C’est un terme très souvent utilisé par des coachs pour demander à un client ce qui l’amène à les solliciter : « quelle est votre problématique ? »
Derrière cela je ne voyais que la notion de “problème“ qui, selon moi, rangeait le coaching dans la case discipline servant à résoudre des problèmes.
J’avais le sentiment que ceci occultait l’idée du coaching comme discipline qui accompagne pour progresser vers ses buts, pour apprendre à cheminer vers une vision de son futur.
2 idées pour sortir de ma résistance :
Peut-être aurais-je dû commencer par regarder de plus près les différentes définitions du mot problématique. Il y est fait référence à quelque chose de difficile à résoudre ou à accomplir. Quelque chose dont l’existence, la vérité, la réussite, est douteuse, aléatoire. Pas de référence directe à la notion de problème, plus à l’incertitude du résultat.
Le coaching n’est pas une discipline de résolution de problèmes. C’est une discipline de l’apprentissage. Apprendre à savoir mettre en place ce qui est nécessaire pour satisfaire ses ambitions. Et, parfois, cela passe par la résolution de certains problèmes, et alors !?
Bref, je n’ai plus de problème avec le mot problématique.
